Why Facebook Adds The Publisher Info
The "Posted by xxx" or "Published by xxx" text on your posts is added by Facebook and it is mandatory when you post from a third party app like Fan Page Robot. Facebook adopted this policy to prevent fraudulent activities.
- When you post to a Facebook fanpage or business page, the text is "Published by xxx" and it can only be seen by admins.
- When you post to your personal page, it shows "Posted by xxx" and it can be seen by all of your audience.
Most of other social media posting tools use their brand name in the publisher info. But Fan Page Robot makes it shown as "account manager", so even when you are managing fan pages for your clients, they will hardly notice what magic software you are using to post the content.
Customize The Publisher Info
We do provide a white label service that allows you to change the “account manager” text to your brand name (any text you want) and point the link to your own website. You will just need to create your own Facebook app. We will configure your app, test and integrate it with our system. The integration and testing fee is $99 only.
Follow the 2 easy steps mentioned below to create your app:
- go to https://developers.facebook.com/apps, click "Add a new app". You will just need to fill in "Display Name" as your brand name, and choose a category:
- After you create the new app, go to Roles, click "Add Administrators" and enter jaga.2121
It will allow our system developer to configure the app for you. You can remove him from the Administrators list once we have set up everything. If you don't want to add him to the Administrators list at all, let the support staff know and we will send you the steps how to configure your app in that case.
- After you add the admin, please contact support with the website URL that you want to link your brand name to. We will send you an invoice and start configuring your app instantly.
